Certina DS Ref. 7360 — Swiss Quartz, Two-Tone, Sapphire, 100M
Certina’s DS (“Double Security”) standard was never just marketing. Every watch in
the line had to pass shock protection and water resistance benchmarks that most Swiss
brands of the era didn’t bother to enforce. This late-1980s/early-1990s DS delivers
exactly that: a Swiss ETA-based quartz movement locked behind a sapphire crystal and
rated to 100 meters, all presented in a two-tone steel-and-gold case that reads dressy
without trying too hard. Clean white dial, gold baton indices, dauphine hands, and a
date window at 3 — nothing extraneous, everything correct.
