Westclox The Official 1/10 Second Stopwatch | 15-Min Accumulator | Box & Timer’s Guide | Pre-Owned

$89.00

A complete survivor: Westclox “The Official” 1/10-second mechanical stopwatch, circa late 1960s, with original blue box, braided lanyard, and the original “Timer’s Guide” booklet covering 15 major sporting events. Color-coded pushers, bright chrome, and a crisp white dial — ready to time anything from a swim meet to a ski slalom.

Westclox “The Official” 1/10 Second Stopwatch — Complete with Box & Timer’s Guide

Before the digital beep, there was this — a chunky, mechanical authority on the starting line.
Westclox’s “The Official” was marketed as exactly what its name implied: a serious instrument for
coaches, officials, and anyone who needed to count tenths. The color-coded pushers (green to
start/stop, red to reset) made operation instinctual under pressure. The 15-minute sub-register
at 12 o’clock means it handles everything from sprint events to middle-distance races without
losing count. This example retains its original blue and red box branded “the Official 1/10
Second Stop Watch,” its braided black-and-white lanyard, and the included “Timer’s Guide” booklet
— a period pamphlet covering timing procedures for 15 major sporting events, with 1968 Olympic
reference times printed inside. The complete set is exceedingly rare to find intact.
